For me, creating and executing the perfect party playlist is both social science and intuitive art. Possessing advanced degrees in both psychology and social work and an intense passion for music, I’m a people person who recognizes the full extent to which music can alter mood, behavior, and perception, as well as create and manipulate atmosphere. My goal is to complement and enhance your particular event.

Playlists are individualized to match the theme of the occasion and its associated activities, as well as the energy and taste of those in attendance. No remixing, no “personal material,” no ego, just great music in its original, unadulterated format with a focus not only on what’s played, but when it’s played, and what it’s played against.

I work off of a laptop, with a rig small enough to fit into residential settings, but with a sound and lighting system suitable for private parties in larger venues, as well.  I’m a niche DJ, constantly evolving and open to playing any party, but particularly well-suited to events which cater to those in their mid-30s and older, and/or to those who prefer the classics (music of the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's) along with newer material that has a more classic sound.

My music collection is expansive and eclectic, mainstream and obscure. I build my playlists in advance with the input of my clients, but can readily switch things up if the situation demands it.  Let me know if you need assistance managing the flow and format of your occasion.
